DETAILS OF UCAANSW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA.
The University of Colombo invites applications for the above scholarship from undergraduate
students (excluding 1st year students)
1. Value of the scholarship is. Rs. 5,000.00 per recipient for 12 installments per annum.
2. Scholarship Programme will be continued until otherwise intimate in writing by the Committee.
3. Eligibility Criteria:
Students who have registered in a faculty of the University of Colombo.
Student's whose family annual income less than Rs. 750,000.00.
Students who are not receiving any financial assistance from the University or any other organization by way of Mahapola, Bursary or any other scholarships etc.
4. Only 3 Students will be selected from the faculty, on their academic performance,
parental annual income and other factors as decided by the UCAANSW selection Committee.
5. Family annual income less than Rs. 750,000.00and should certify by the relevant Grama Niladhari and the Divisional Secretary.
6. If your father’s / mother’s service has been terminated or he/she has retired during the income assessment period from November 2022 to November 2023, you should
clearly mention the said period and should attached the certified copies of the document. (letter of termination of employment/ letter of award of pension) which issued by the relevant authorities.
7. If you have any school going sisters or brothers who are on 19 year or below, you should attach a copy of birth certificate of them.
8. A copy of your National Identity Card should be annexed along with the application.
9. Part A, B & C of the application should be completed by the applicant and handed over to the Dean’s Office of the faculty in order to complete the Part D.
10. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
11. The decision of the selection panel will be the final and no further correspondence w i l l n o t be entertained.
12. Specimen Application is circulated with the notice and completed applications have to be handed over to the Dean’s Office of the faculty.
13. Closing date of the applications is 21 st November 2023.
